Currently, the demand for self-tapping screws for metal structures is very high. This is due to the fact that roofs are now made mainly of metal profiles and metal tiles. And, besides this, the construction of fences from corrugated board has gained wide popularity.
Today, the buyer is presented with a wide selection of self-tapping screws: for fastening structures made of wood, metal and drywall. Each group of self-tapping screws has its own distinctive features.
Often, people who perform construction work on their own have questions: “How to properly fix the corrugated board? How, moreover, not to spoil the material, but to make it firmly and reliably?
These questions don't just happen. Indeed, when installing a roof and a fence, there are "pitfalls".
So, consider the technique of fastening corrugated board when performing roofing work. First, special attention should be paid to the roof sheathing, because the durability of the structure will depend on the correctness of the work performed.

The length of the self-tapping screw must be chosen so that its threaded part is 3 mm longer than the roofing material package connected with it.
In some cases, it is allowed to fasten sheets of corrugated board to each other (for example, on a cornice overhang) using combined rivets.
A neoprene washer put on a self-tapping screw for corrugated board - the weight, or rather the importance of which is difficult to overestimate, performs a protective function - it prevents moisture from entering the under-roof space.
Self-tapping screws can be coated with polymer paint in the color of the selected material.
And how many self-tapping screws are needed per sheet of corrugated board? This issue cannot be ruled out either. On average, to fix one sheet when installing a standard roof on straight slope sections, 6-8 pieces are needed.
However, it should be borne in mind that closer to the ends of the sheets, it is advisable to increase the number of fasteners in order to reliably withstand wind loads. The fastening step is recommended to be at least 500 mm.
Consider another option for attaching a sheet of corrugated board to a fence canvas or a building wall.

- self-tapping screws with a press washer. They come in two varieties: with a sharp tip and a tip in the form of a drill;
