Soft roof
Soft roofing can be represented by rolled materials, polymeric membranes, mastic materials, soft (bituminous) tiles.
Soft bituminous tile
The base of the soft tile is represented by fiberglass impregnated with an asphalt mass that does not rot.
On top of the tile is coated with a hard layer with stone or mineral chips, and on the bottom - a special bituminous layer, protected by a polyethylene film, therefore roofing from ordinary soft tiles strong enough.
During installation, the plastic film is removed, and under the influence of solar heat, over time, the tiles will be glued to the base of the roof.
Thus, the presence of a continuous roofing is obtained. As another option, soft tiles completely impregnated with bitumen are used. It is attached to the base with ordinary nails.
Soft roll roof
Such a roof is arranged mainly in the presence of a flat or gently sloping slope, where there is no possibility of using another roofing material. Therefore, it is rarely used for the arrangement of low-rise residential buildings.
Foundation preparation process
The rolled material is placed on the prepared precast concrete panel, asphalt concrete or concrete slabs, as well as on a solid wooden floor.

The upper part of the plastered surface is equipped with antiseptic wooden battens for fixing the rolled carpet.

Important! The wooden base is plastered with mastic with a stroke or spatula, or painted.
Material preparation process
- Roll coating preparation. Before laying, the rolled materials are subjected to a thorough inspection, then they are kept in a rolled form for 24 hours.
- Mastic preparation. Roofing mastic can be used as an independent material or as an adhesive.
Laying an overlap of sheets of soft tiles occurs quite quickly. For fixing, the use of bituminous mastic or ordinary nails can be used.
On a roof with a slope of up to 15%, a panel of rolled material is glued along the eaves. On a roof with a slope of more than 15% - the panel rolls out towards the water drain to avoid slipping of the roofing carpet.
Each subsequent layer of the rolled cloth must overlap the joint of the previous layer. All roll strips must be laid in the same direction. On a sloping and flat roof (with a slope of less than 15%), the panel is glued using a mechanized method using a special sticker machine.
Installation of a soft roof can be carried out using mastic as an independent roofing material. Mastic roofing has one significant advantage: there are no seams on it.
For application mastics for the roof you can use a special sprayer. Each subsequent layer should be laid only after the previous one has dried.
