Roof corrugated sheet: installation features

roof corrugated sheetRoofs made of various sheet materials are quite old, reliable and convenient construction. And one of the most experienced and successful players in this market is corrugated roofing. How roofs are made of it, and what nuances you should know when installing them - later in the article.

Corrugated sheet has been produced for quite a long time and has proven to be a convenient and reliable material. It is produced by rolling from rolled galvanized steel, as a rule, with a thickness of 0.35-1 mm. Standard sheet size: 930x2000 and 1150x2500 mm.

Now there are improved versions of corrugated sheet, which, in addition to galvanizing, also have a layer of polymer coating for roofs of houses. This is not only a higher degree of protection against harmful atmospheric influences, but also an element of decorative finishing of roofs and fences.

Advice! Although a corrugated board with a polymer layer will cost a little more than a regular galvanized one, if all the installation work is done correctly, an additional coating will really significantly extend the life of the roof.

  • Durable - under normal conditions, the roof can last about 50 years
  • On average cheaper than other sheet materials
  • Easy to install
  • It is possible to choose a material with a polymer coating, and there are several types of coatings

  • Sheets are fastened to the bottom of the wave, along the lower edge - into each wave, along the next two rows of the crate - into each odd wave, and the top is overwhelmed by the edge of the next row. For fastening, special self-tapping screws or roofing nails are used, with polymer linings.
