How to design a classic interior that will not go out of style

Classic is the style of interior that will never go out of fashion. Every year more and more unusual interior design options may appear, but the owner of a room in this style can be calm, because this is what will serve him faithfully for years, and will always look advantageous, stylish and elegant.

Rules for interior design in a classic style:

Choose high-quality and natural materials. As mentioned above, this is an almost durable interior style, so the materials must be of high quality and durable. In addition, cheap materials immediately cross out the sophistication and luxury of the classic style.

Wooden flooring

Most often, this design option is chosen for the living room or bedroom, and parquet or engineering board is ideal for such rooms. But wood flooring is not suitable for all rooms. For example, in the bathroom, it is unlikely to last as long as in the bedroom. Therefore, in this case, it is worth giving preference to tiles made of natural materials, the best option is marble.

decorative elements

These include, for example, stucco, even if you have such an element after the last interior, you can leave it, just do not forget that all interior elements in a classic style should be in discreet colors. For finishing, it is better to choose either matte plaster or wallpaper with a small and not bright ornament. Naturally, glossy plaster can also be used, but only on individual elements, to emphasize, for example, on columns.

Things that do not fit into a classic interior:

  1. Cheap flooring and tiles that look like natural
  2. Cheap and poor quality wallpapers
  3. Tile with a small, incomprehensible pattern
  4. Excess gold and silver fittings

These materials will definitely not create an atmosphere of chic and luxury. Even if natural tiles hit your pocket hard, you can also choose artificial ones, only in this case choose a monotonous, discreet color and the absence of any pattern. Simplicity is the best choice in this case.

Color and texture

First of all, the emphasis should be on classic and monochrome shades - white, beige, gray, black, coffee. These colors will form the base of the interior, which can be easily supplemented and made brighter with other shades.Pastel colors are suitable as accent colors, but you can also use bright colors - red, emerald, deep blue.

You just need to remember that as an accent color, you can choose one or two shades that will be combined with each other, and they can only be used in the design of textiles and accessories. For such an interior, both matte (wood, stone, natural fabrics) and glossy (marble, steel, glass) textures are suitable, but nevertheless, in most interior elements it is recommended to use matte, and only complement this base with glossy elements so that the interior does not look too colorful.

Furniture

First of all, it is worth noting that it must be wooden, the upholstery can be leather or fabric, and forged elements are also allowed. The whole composition should be combined with each other, and antiques will give a special charm to the interior.
