The main criteria for choosing a bunk bed for a nursery

Proper design in the children's room will allow the child to fully develop, play and relax. If the room is rather modest in size, parents often find the best solution and install a bunk bed in their child's room. Such a bed does not take up much space in the room, leaving more space, and at the same time provides two whole beds.

When choosing a bunk bed, you should pay attention to the following points:

  • whether the selected model complies with all safety standards;
  • What material is the bed made from?
  • How functional is this model?
  • how much space the bed will take in the children's room;
  • how the selected model will fit into the overall interior of the room.

It is also worth considering the opinion of the child, the bed must be liked by the one who will sleep on it.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Undoubtedly, a bunk bed with sides has a number of advantages. It is compact, ergonomic, light enough, and this bed is also multifunctional (in addition to sleeping, many bunk beds are equipped with a play area and drawers for storing linen), such a bed is financially more profitable than buying two single beds. In addition to the advantages, there are also disadvantages.

Varieties

Modern furniture stores provide a huge range that can satisfy even the most capricious buyers and their children. There are bunk beds of various designs, shapes and styles that will not leave anyone indifferent. Children's bunk beds come in several types:

  • Two-section. Such a bed is equipped with a removable tier, this allows you to turn it into a regular single-tier bed if necessary.
  • Two-level. The second name of this model is “loft bed”. Such a bed consists of two levels, on the first there is a desk, a locker for things, all kinds of shelves, and on the second the bed itself, this model is well suited for a student.
  • Bed with game elements. This bed is equipped with a play area, for example in the form of a castle. It is easy to place a small slide or swing in such a design.
  • Bed-transformer. This model is able to change the angle of the bed. Also, if desired, the upper tier can be completely removed.
  • Modular design. This bed is equipped with two beds and is complemented by all kinds of cabinets, drawers and shelves.
  • Bed without removable tiers.Such a model is a single structure that cannot be divided into several elements.
  • Bunk bed. In this design, you can push the lower tier if its use is not required. This model is quite fragile, so you should not opt for it if the child is very active.
