- Then two more sheets are laid in the same way. The resulting block of metal sheets fastened together is again leveled and attached to the crate. Eight self-tapping screws are used per square meter of coverage. The screws are screwed into the deflection of the wave, that is, in the place where the material is adjacent to the crate.
- It is very important to properly adjust the screwdriver. The washer under the self-tapping screw should only be slightly compressed, not deformed. Only in this case, it reliably seals the hole in the roofing material.
Advice! In the event that there is a protective film on the metal tile, then it must be removed immediately after installation.
Laying metal tiles on long slopes
Of course, the fewer material joints there are on the roofing, the less the risk of leakage. However, it is extremely inconvenient to work with sheets of metal tiles whose length exceeds 4 meters.
In addition, when ordering sheets that are too long, the risk of damage during transport, unloading and installation increases.Therefore, on long slopes, metal tiles are laid in several rows.
The laying technology practically does not differ from that described above, only blocks from sheets are assembled differently.
- The first sheet is laid and leveled along the cornice and slope;
- The next sheet of metal tiles is laid over it and fixed with a self-tapping screw in the center of the upper part. Both sheets are overlapped.
- The third sheet of metal tile is laid next to the first and fastened to it, and the next one is placed above the third.
- Thus, a block is obtained, made of four sheets fastened together.
- After the resulting block is leveled, the sheets are screwed to the crate with screws.
After completing the laying of sheets of metal tiles, ridge and end strips, external valleys and external aprons should be installed.
Then they install the necessary accessories for the roof - cornice stairs, ventilation outlets, etc.
