What is this procedure?
Studies of the underground component of an architectural object can be performed both during the period of reconstruction / overhaul of the building, and during its construction. Examination of this kind is carried out by qualified craftsmen using modern equipment.
The inspection is carried out either directly in the analyzed area, or samples are taken and transferred to the laboratory, whose employees perform all the necessary studies. Based on its results, a conclusion is drawn up in writing containing an analysis of the current situation, as well as advice from experienced specialists. Only then is the question of the commission of certain actions decided.
Features of such activities.
The underlying material is tested for frost resistance, water permeability and strength.As for reinforced concrete, it is also examined for the level of reinforcement, as well as for the size of the thickness of the defensive layer, which does not allow the interaction of reinforcement with oxygen, liquids and soil.
These examinations are performed directly on site using special devices (for example, ultrasonic testers).
Such analyzes are carried out to achieve the following goals:
- diagnostics of the state of the structure, as well as the underlying soils;
- identification of residual strength resource;
- evaluation of the quality of operation;
- clarification of the reasons that led to the deformation or settlement of the building;
- refinement of geometric parameters;
- location of rebar-type frames;
- detection of voids inside the foundation;
- the degree of corrosion of the metal components of the base;
- determination of factors that affect the decrease in bearing capacity;
- giving preference to suitable repair options.
First of all, the pits are excavated. Then the state of the structure is visually assessed, and defects are also described in documentary form. Moreover, linear measurements are taken - this will make it possible to determine the geometric parameters of the structure.
