Dent in wooden furniture

If the defect is small, wax will save. You can find it in hardware stores. Usually it is sold in many color variations, which allows you to choose a shade that matches the damaged furniture quite accurately. If this was not possible, you can correct the color using a regular felt-tip pen or a special marker. A small amount of wax should be applied to the spatula and gently spread over the dent, avoiding contact with the edges of the spatula on the surrounding surface, otherwise this will lead to scratches, the excess must be removed.
Wax is perhaps one of the most effective and efficient ways to restore damage to wooden surfaces. After using the wax, the surface will most likely look like new, but if the damage is still visible or there are bumps, it should be sanded using soft sandpaper and working very carefully to avoid chafing.
Restoration of varnished furniture surfaces
It is much more difficult to eliminate defects on furniture if it is varnished. If the damage is small, you can fill it with oil varnish, it is sold in construction and repair stores.If after the first layer of varnish has dried, the surface is still uneven, you will need to repeat the coating. When the dent is completely filled, the covered area will need to be sanded with soft sandpaper in a polishing motion.
