The loft style has recently enjoyed great interest, most often justified. The history of this direction is long and complex, which explains the presence of certain properties: the loft style harmoniously combines the low complexity of implementation in technical terms and the price with a variety of expressiveness. It is impossible to combine a loft with other styles, only its combination with minimalism is acceptable. If we consider the "Soft Loft", then there is an almost complete combination of such areas.
Restrictions
In the design of apartments, which are made in the loft style, there must be certain requirements of a sanitary-hygienic and medical-psychological nature. For example, it is unacceptable to make such a design in a children's room, this may affect the immature psyche of the child, he may misinterpret the presence of steel elements and nuts.In the living room and the room where elderly parents live, they also do not make such repairs: the guest may not appreciate such a composition, and the elderly will perceive such a direction as a symbol of what will never be returned.
In addition, such premises as a library and an office should not be lofted, since they are intended for work, and not for showing imagination. Difficulties may arise in the following rooms:
- hallway, since it is impossible to meet the necessary initial requirements here;
- the kitchen, due to sanitary and hygienic conditions, according to which the materials needed for the loft are simply impossible to pick up;
- bathroom, since both criteria are present;
- bedrooms, however, you can use some basic tricks.
If we talk about the living room, then this is the room where the loft is most often created. In general, it is better to choose large studio apartments with a huge area for this style.
Color palette
Loft basically involves the use of two directions: brutal factory and light studio. If the first option is chosen, then shades of dark color prevail here. You can use gray-brown, gray-blue, brick and other shades of the gamut related to smoky. They can be successfully combined. If the room will be finished in a studio open loft, then it is better to give preference to light and pure colors.
The main part of the walls is painted in white tones, only one is left and made bright, for example, yellow, blue or turquoise.If the space is not large, then it is better to opt for a light tone for wall and floor surfaces, it is also recommended not to make the ceilings dark, thus the space will not have visual corners.
When choosing furniture, it is worth stopping at the one that has a neutral light color, if you choose models with bright upholstery that are too bulky, this will lead to a decrease in space. If you use small puffs or install chests of drawers, add a few bright decorative elements and radiators, then attention will already be diverted from the walls, and the space will visually become larger. Do not overdo it with rich colors, it is enough to have 25 percent of the available shades in one room.
